Restore your Windows XP background!

The Windows XP background might get lost from the desktop for many reasons. It may be due to an improper shutdown, a computer error after a troubleshooting session or an unexpected error. There is a simple procedure that should be followed to restore the Windows XP background. To restore the lost Windows XP background, the user needs to right-click on the desktop and select 'Properties'. From the 'Properties' of the desktop, one must select the option 'Theme'. Under the icon of Theme, either Windows XP or Windows Classic is selected and applied, depending on the preference of the user.

After troubleshooting or after an unexpected error, you may sometimes lose your current background due to improper shut down or a computer error.

To recover your Windows XP background, right-click on your desktop and select Properties.

Then select Themes. Under the icon Theme, select Windows XP or Windows Classic, whichever you prefer, and click on Apply.
