Ask a question
If you, like most people, use your web browser often, or even daily, you may be interested in creating a personalized browser experience. Most browsers, like Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Bing, Yahoo, and Qwant, give you many options that allow you to tailor your browser the way you like it.

One such option is the possibility to set your Internet browser home page, or the first page that you see when you launch your browser, to the webpage that you would like. Many people use this option to set their home page to the webpages that they visit the most often or those that contain information that they usually need to access quickly, like the weather.

If you would like to change your Internet browser's home page, this article will walk you through the steps.

What Is an Internet Browser?

An Internet browser is a software that allows you to browse the web. It is often presented as a graphical interface between the user and the network that allows you to access websites.

Browsers operate quite simply by connecting to a web address, downloading web page elements (e.g. images, text, videos, etc.), and displaying content on an interface.

Today, there are many different internet browsers available. Most of them are associated to a specific operating system. The most known browsers are Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera, and Google Chrome.

Each internet browser suggests a default home page. A home page is the first page that you reach when starting your browser.
