How To Check Your Voicemail on Verizon

If you’ve missed a call on your Verizon device, it’s possible that you will have received a voicemail. This article will explain how to check your voicemail if you’re a Verizon customer with a monthly plan.

Call to Get Your Voicemails

To check your voicemail from your Verizon device, call *86, or press and hold 1. If you’re calling from a number other than your Verizon device, dial your 10-digit number, and press # to pass the introduction. You will, then, be required to enter your password before accessing your messages.

Enroll in Visual Voicemail

Verizon also offers Visual Voicemail, which is a service that allows you to visualize your voicemail. To sign up for Visual Voicemail, go to My Verizon and enter your account details to log in.

To add the service, go to Products & Apps and find Visual Voicemail. The premium service does have an additional fee of $2.99/month. All usage of Visual Voicemail could be subject to data fees. For a complete comparison of the advantages of Visual Voicemail, see Verizon’s Voicemail Comparison Chart.

N.B. Visual Voicemail is not available for prepaid customers.
