How To Link PAN Card with Aadhaar Number

The income tax department of India has clarified that it will not process the yearly return if the permanent account number (PAN) is not linked with Aadhaar card. It can be done online by visiting the official e-filing site of the tax department. It also helps Indian citizens to open a bank account, apply for gas connection, and to receive various government subsidies.

Link Aadhaar Number with PAN Card

There are two easy ways to linking Aadhaar number with the PAN card. The account holder will have to either do it by logging into their e-filing portal or directly from the Link Aadhaar page of the tax department site:



Enter the Aadhaar Number , PAN, and your name as per the Aadhaar card. Fill the Captcha Code and click the Link Aadhaar button:



Please make sure that there is no mismatch in the date of birth, gender, and name on both the government documents.



In case there is a complete mismatch, PAN card will not be linked with the Aadhaar and Aadhaar-PAN linking failed error message will appear on the screen.

Update Aadhaar And PAN Card Details

In case of a mismatch, you can update your PAN card details on official site of the tax department. For correction and changes in the Aadhaar details, visit UIDAI site.
