Instagram lets you take screenshots, and they used to send a notification to the person who made the post. However, Instagram has now changed the platform and no longer sends the poster a note.
In 2018 Instagram rolled out a featured that allowed users to be notified when someone took a screenshot of their story. The story poster could access the viewed list and would see a star next to the person's name who had taken the screenshot. However, after much feedback from the community, this policy has been discontinued. Now,
users no longer receive notifications when screenshots of their stories are taken. You can now freely take screenshots discretely!
