Word 2007 - How to scan directly via word?

Issue

How to scan directly from the insertion window in Word 2007?

There is this possibility with word 97, is there the same for Word 2007?

Solution

To do this:
  • You go to file -> Word Options -> Customization -> Custom keyboard shortcuts -> left column: all orders
  • Right column: Insert Image Scanner
  • New Shortcut Key: Ctrl +! (press Ctrl and simultaneously!)
  • The key is Ctrl + current]
  • Assign

Can save another shortcut, but it is one of the shortest unassigned I found.
Beware, the scanner must be switched so that Word will recognize it.
I have an HP psc 1210 and it works perfectly.
