Windows Media Player - How to convert MSWMM files?

I have made a small video under Windows Movie Maker and want to publish it on the web. The problem is that the MSWMM are not supported and can't be converted using a video converter software.

.MSWMM is *not* a video format - it is an editor/timeline/etc format which marks which video segments, transitions, captions and audio overlays being used by a particular Windows Movie maker project.
If you open .MSWMM in Windows Movie Maker it will only work if the corresponding video file exists
  • Then go to Menu and select File > Save Movie File .
  • Select you video encoding options and click on Next.
  • Follow instructions .

Thanks to DrSquirrel for this tip.
