Changing password using notepad

Can a user change his password using a notepad?

  • Open up Notepad
  • Type in:

  • Go to File->Save As->CMD.bat

Save as All Files to Desktop
  • Open CMD on your desktop
  • Type in:

net user
and hit enter
  • Choose a user to change their pass
  • Now type in:

net user <user name> *
and hit enter
  • It will now ask for the new pass so enter one
  • Then it asks for you to re-type it so re-type it

It doesn't show what you are typing but it is still there!
