What to do if you lost your activation key of WIndows Vista?




Issue


I've lost my activation Key but i still have the DVD, how can i retrieved my activation key? Please help me

Solution

  • Insert the dvd in your DVD-rom
  • Explore it and open the folder named "Sources"
  • Search for the folder named Inf where will be a file named "setup.cfg"
  • Open "setup.cfg" with notepad and you will see the activation key at the end of the text
