Convert .RBS to MP3 format

Multimedia audio files stored in the computer in RBS format can be renamed to .MP3 without any problem. File conversion software has usually to be used to convert multimedia audio and video files from one format to another, but there is no need to use a file conversion software to convert .RBS to MP3 because .RBS is basically an MP3 file encoded at 64 kbps.

Issue

I have lots of audio files in .rbs format stored on my computer and I want to convert them to Mp3. Is there any program or a manipulation to convert them?

Solution

  • A .rbs file is an MP3 file encoded at 64 kbps
  • So renaming your files to .mp3 should suffice.
  • If it is not working, simply make the below manipulation, before renaming your files:
  • Go to Folder Options > View > uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" and press OK.
