Network connection icon has disappeared

I just formatted my hard drive and reinstall Windows XP home edition. I want to connect my computer to my Netgear wireless Internet network that works fine on my other pc, but I'm unable to do it..

My problem seems to come from the fact that I don't have the icon for the wireless network connection in the system tray, I can not find a way to display this icon or configure my computer for it to connect to the network without using this icon.


Go into the Contol panel/ Network and Internet /network connections/right click/ property /check displayed icon for ....
