Ubuntu - Delay at shut down

April 2018

Computer will shut down in 60 seconds

Each time you try to restart or shut down Ubuntu, you will be prompted with a small dialog box telling you that your "Computer will shut down in 60 seconds"
  • This feature is simply present to give you enough time to cancel the shut down process if you changed your mind.
  • Still it is quite simple to disable this notification:
  • Right click on "Switch users" and select Preferences
  • Uncheck the "Show confirm dialogs for logout, restart and shutdown"and close the window.
  • It should be ok.
