Jaybird bluetooth headphones will not power on or off, HP Notebo

I tried for a couple of weeks to fix my headphones or to get them to work, these are the wired headphones. They did not work so I bought some Jaybird wireless headphones for my HP Notebook laptop. I had to buy a USB Bluetooth adapter but they worked great. Then a couple of days ago they would not power on or off. The green light was on but no sound, not even the prompt when you power on or power off. I am running Windows 10. Their customer support is very limited so any help here would be much appreciated.
