SDHC (lexar) card unable to be read

Good day everyone,

I am desperately looking for some advice! I have recently been on holiday and have just sat down to edit my photos. However to my horror, the brand new SD card could not be read by both my camera and laptop.
My laptop has no response to it. And my camera states that it is unable to be read, reinsert. I was able to view the photos last week. The other SD card that I used is working perfectly on both devices.

This card is a Lexar Professional (16GB) 95MB/s 633x. It has been safely stored in a small container. It has had no exposure to water, nor has it had any sort of physical damage.

I would so appreciate any sort of help. I would be gutted to lose those memories.
