Booting failure at startup

Recently, my computer started freezing during the initial BIOS checking routine at the startup. If I switch the power off at the wall, wait for ten seconds, switch the wall back on, then press the computer power switch, it boots up perfectly. Even if I'm in Windows and click Restart, it shuts down but freezes again on Startup. So, I've been reluctant to turn it off.
