Micro SD card not detected in Redmi Note 8

Hello,

I have a Redmi Note 8 which I bought a year ago.

For the first eight months, it worked fine. I was able to use a Micro SD card in it.

Now, I am unable to use a Micro SD card in it.

When I place a Micro SD card and a SIM card in their slots in the SIM tray and insert them into the phone, the SIM card works fine but the Micro SD card does not get detected and so, does not work.

I tested it with a different Micro SD card and the result was the same.

And yes, I tested both those Micro SD cards in a laptop. They work fine there. That means they are not corrupted.

I would be grateful if anyone on CCM could suggest a solution.
