I tried to change my username and display name to a new name (I want the same new name for both). Unfortunately I did this in two sessions instead of one. Result: the username changed but not the display name.... I want to keep my email address with the new name. Instagram sent me an 'option to secure the account' email after the username change which I assume will return the account to my original username. Should I do this and try again? I'm just not sure it will help with the double name change I wish to make; it may mess things up even more.
Any idea of how I should proceed?
