Command and conquer generals zero hour "connection timed out"

Hello,

whenever i'm trying to play generals zero hour on a lan connection with my little brother and try to connect, it says "connection timed out". We can see our names on the screen but still get the error. can someone please help? (we are on the same network)

System Configuration: Windows / Chrome 91.0.4472.77
