Instagram stories

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone else lost the ability to post stories of pre existing pictures on their instagram story? i used to be able to click the arrow and the “my story” option would be at the top, but now there’s no my story option, it’s only the people on my DM list. ive tried contacting instagram and no reply. i didn’t touch anything in settings it just randomly happened.. thanks!
