Using gel spoofing to access my company VON

Hello,

My company has gone fully remote for working but I am required to work within the US. However, I would like to move abroad.

If I try to connect to my company vpn from overseas my account will be flagged and blocked.

If I create a custom VPN server in the us and connect to that VPN before connecting to my company VPN making my IP address appear to be in the US. What is the likelihood that they would be able to figure out I am not working from the US. Or would it be detectable at all?
