Unable to create Outlook account to access Yahoo mail

I am trying to create an Outlook account to access my Yahoo mail. I've followed the instruction in:

POP settings for Yahoo Mail

Incoming Mail (POP) Server

Server - pop.mail.yahoo.com
Port - 995
Requires SSL - Yes

I've double and triple checked to make sure my ID (full ID plus domain) and PW are correct. In Outlook I always get "The connection to the server was interrupted. I've tried the same in Thunderbird and get "Sending of passowrd for user ... dis not succeed."
