Whatsapp not opening

Hello,
I am running into a problem when I try to open my Whatsapp on my PC. Upon double clicking the icon, I just get a full light green on the entire screen. The only way I can solve the problem is uninstall the Whatsapp, install it once again and it will open normally. If i close it for any reason and then try to openc it again, I once again get the full light green screen. Please, how can i solve this problem?
