The filters in Online Yahoo Mail DO NOT WORK anymore: Why?

Hello, for almost one month, my inbox is suddenly flooded with emails that should be filtered into various folders. Strange, and this has been so irritating. If I leave my Yahoo Mail unattended for over a day it will be stuffed with an amalgam of unfiltered emails: I created filters to avoid this.
