Facebook hacked and now I'm locked out

I received several login alert emails over the past week - each time I changed my password. Unfortunately the 3rd time they tried I didn't get to it fast enough and inappropriate content was posted and my account was then locked. The only screen I can get to now is "Security check ... To confirm your identity, we will text a confirmation code to your phone xxx-xxx-xxxx" When I try that it gives me an error message stating it couldn't send the message (even though I did receive the verification code via text message). Then, of course, I try it a few times and it states "Too Many SMS codes. You have requested too many SMS codes. You must wait 24 hours to receive another".

Is there anything else I can do to get back into my Facebook account? This appears to have left me at a dead end.
