I'm not showing up on other peoples' Following list

Hello,

I have an issue. If you go on ANY account that is following me (verified by me checking my account), I don't show up in their "Following" list. This is for every account following me. I'm not sure why this is. My account is set to public after previously being on private. I confirmed this with a friend who I know is following me because I checked my Followers list. He can't find me in either his or our entire friend group's Following list(s). I even created an alt account to test, the same thing. Does anyone know why and what I can do to fix this? Please help.
