Whats up deleted or not from contacts?

Hi, I used to talk to the person using my usual phone number and he had me in his contacts. I do have also another phone number which he doesn't know but I do have his number in my contacts. When I  am using my usual phone I can see that he is online but I can not see it when  I m using new number . Basically I m trying to figure it out if he deleted my usual phone number form his contact list ? Thank you
