I need simulation how the computer system working internally. I mean how the instruction fetching from memory and how to execute the particular instruction. What are all the components helping to executing the instruction.

in modern CPUs the L3 Cache is included in the cpu yes (i5s, i7s etc) in older configs this was not the case...if u look back far enough even L1 cache used to be on the mobo...i can still remember the days when u could buy L1 cache

ALL cache levels are on the CPU including level 3 cache. As per the author of this article, He suggests that level three cache is on the motherboard.
