Here's one for the REAL network experts!

My LAN consists of a gateway/router and 4 PCs - A, B, C and D.
A thru C are Windows 7/64; D is XP32/SP3.

Until a few days ago, everyone could see and access everyone. Then C stopped seeing D. C can ping D, but it can't see it (in Network or in the network map).

C can still see A and B (and itself).

A, B and D can still see everyone.

I've tried all the usual fixes from this and other forums:
-verified that all have same Workgroup name (no Homegroup) and tried the `reset Workgroup name' fix
-rechecked the IPs and other adapter settings;
-rechecked settings for sharing (on) and passwords (off) settings
-disabled C's firewall
-rebooted everything and everybody.
-Also tried to use the LLTD hotfix, but Windows reports that my XP-SP3 install already has it.

Three additional, important notes:
1) The network is set up with static (fixed) IPs - no DHCP.
2) Everything and everyone had been working perfectly for some time. Nothing was changed (hardware or software) to my knowledge, and I'm the sole user.
3) IPv6 is not enabled.

Here is the ipconfig /all report:
