Hello,
I have installed windows xp on both my laptop and desktop computer which were both previously running windows vista (more recently the laptop). I am having issues connecting to the internet on both; the desktop connected fine up until about 2 weeks ago. They both are able to identify my Livebox, but the connection process loops at 'acquiring network address'. After searching through forums similar to this I tried a few 'solutions' including setting a static ip address. this seemed to solve the problem as my connection status read 'connected' however, when i tried to access the internet, my browser continued to tell me that i am not connected to the internet.

I was hoping someone would be able to help me with this issue?

Cheers
Ben
