Hello,

My Sony vaio will not connect to operating system. When I go into Boot Manager I get a message ' encountered a problem in communicating with device. This error could be due to an unplugged external USB, a faulty hard drive or CD rom drive Status Oxc00000e9

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this please? I notice that the laptop casing around the SD card reader has a crack in it.

Thank you

Hello,

The 0xc00000e9 error code means Windows Stop, STATUS_UNEXPECTED_IO_ERROR

You machine obviously suffered a blow. The problem could be the hard drive or even the hard drive controller. This is serious error and "may" not be repairable without professional tech support from
a real computer shop.
