Recovery works then black screen

Hello,


My computer has a black screen. I am able to go to recovery but after that it starts loading and I see the Microsoft symbol then my monitor goes to sleep mode and I'm unable to do anything. It won't even let me try in safe mode. Do I have a virus or is it my monitor? Also it's a desktop computer
