Toshiba Satalite crash?

Hello,
I was googling information on lawyers for my dad, and charging a cell phone on my Toshiba laptop, when the screen went black. it was on the wall cable, now no power. Would not power back up at all, I tried the wall plug it's fine, turnered the laptop over and removed the battery which is newer, then tried to power up again. Nothing, no fan, beeps, cursors, nothing, This is a nice laptop I got from my daughter when she upgraded to an apple, so I have no idea what to try?
