How to insert result of =SUMIF on next free row

I want to create an =sumif query on a new tab, which looks at all 12 tabs in an annual accounts workbook, either month by month or all 12 months at once, and then inserts the results into the preformatted original tab. I'm comfortable with the =sumif function but don't know how to make the results insert into the next free rowon the tab with the query.
