Hotmail attachment not working

Hello,
I was able to attach files for many years in my Hotmail/Outlook account. AS of this morning I receive an "Internet Explorer has stopped working" message every time I attach a document. I have cleared my temporary files , but do not know where to go from here. I have Windows 8 and IE10. I would appreciate any help you can give me on this.
