Silverlight 5.1.2013

So I recently installed the new windows update for silverlight. As soon as I did this I could no longer access the internet on my laptop. Internet works fine, I can even skype on my laptop still, however the internet continues to show that the website could not load due to DNS issues or something to that extent.

Not too computer savvy on this subject, so i'm wondering what settings changed, or what I can do to get my internet back.

I figured it had to be the silverlight upgrade, because my first attempt to fix it was to restore my computer BEFORE I installed the upgrade, and the internet worked fine. Then the issue arose again even WITHOUT the install and I had to figure out how to fix it again.

This time it was just an internet issue in general, I reboot everything and decided to just download the upgrade for silverlight again, which leads me back to square one. Any thoughts?
