Pop up from microsoft saying excuse us if we are over protective

after i signed in to my account user name and password, then next screen is a pop up saying excuse us if we are over protective, but we want to make sure if something happen to your email you will receive a code,.... then the email address if asks to send code to is not the one i use, and you cannot change it, the tech said i have been compromised but i can get my email from i phone and i pad, just not my lap top
