My windows phone cannot download anything pls help..

hello just want to ask coz my nokia lumia 710 windows phone cannot download anything when i push the button download it directs me to a page which tells me to sign up first with window live when i push the button sign in, nothing happens it just go back to previous page were i left is there a problem with my phone? please help
