Old PowerBook G4 will not boot.

I realize that I have a laptop that's way over the hill but it was working Just fine 3 months ago, the last time I used it. When I tried to power it up it did nothing. I do know it had power by the Caps Lock key and I could hear it power down. I tried all the tricks that I read about on other G4's. It almost came on when I took the battery out and held the power button for 10 seconds. It still does nothing but it has power. Any ideas, except getting a newer model?
