Microphone problems

Hey there, i have a HP Pavilion dv7 beatsaudio, and lately i've been suffering problems with my built in mic, i used a software where i can record my voice, i play it. The microphone literally works for like the first 5 seconds, and the rest it sounds like i'm talking through a microwave, please help. thank you.
