Side-by-side configuration incorrect Lineage 2 (version High Fiv

Hello, my name is Teo and i have an issue. I've just bought a new laptop with windows 8.1 , and im trying to play Lineage 2 (version High Five). I used to play it normally on windows 7 , but now i get an error


Program failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect
then it says that i have to open a file called sxstrace.exe for more information, but when im double clicking on it , nothing happens.
Is there anything that i could install to avoid this side by side configuration?

I cant execute the l2.exe (apropriate file to start the game), what can i do to avoid this side-by-side problem ?


Im using windows 8.1 64bit.
8gb ram
2gb graphic card
750 hard disc
intel 7 cpu

I've already tried to 1) restart my pc 2) run it as admin with windows 7 compability 3) runn the troubleshoot manager
