Gateway NV50a Black screen no processor light flashing

nv50a Gateway, when I press start all I see is a black screen dead in the water, disc makes noise as though loading. Have removed battery and power cord then held power button for 60 seconds as instructed still same results. The 2 lights that normally come on during start up (processor and wifi light) don't. Need my Laptop, I'm on Social Security cant afford a new one cant afford a repair cost right now. Would appreciate any solutions
