MW2 - Window automatically minimizes and will not maximize

Recently today I started having the problem where my window will minimize upon launching the game then I cannot maximize it. Playing in windowed mode works, but is not ideal because it's hard for my eyes to focus on such a small window. Help on fixing my problem?
