HCL laptop windows 7

my hcl laptop with windows 7 stops playing sounds after a few minutes of turning on. if i restart my laptop it plays sound for a few minutes and then again stops sound. i tried reinstalling its sound drivers but that made no difference. if any one has suffered a similar problem or has a solution please put an answer.
