Sims 3 launcher click to get onto game,then it doesn't respond

Hi people of the internet,
I have a weird problem going on with my sims 3 game.I get the sims 3 launcher and click to get onto the game,then it doesn't respond and i have to start up the game all over again.
WHAT DO I DO!?HELP MEH PLZ!?
