My toshiba satellite has a black screen.

It just stopped working. I have replaced ed the hard drive thinking it crashed, no luck. I have replaced the battery. No luvk. I dunno what else to do. The lights come on and it sounds like it's dtsrtingbup. But nothing happrns. Solid black screen??? help!!!!!
