Function for finding unique data in one spreadsheet to a second

Hello,

I have a spreadsheet of 500 rows. Each row contains on unique "item Number". I am looking for function that will locate the unique number in a second sheet within the same workbook and deliver the daily inventory only.

The first worksheet is 7 columns and identifies a products status of several things including inventory for that day. This sheet will change daily in the order of items depending on what is sold.

The second worksheet is a running inventory of the same items in the first worksheet but divided by categories.

Is there a function/formula that the item number on the 2nd worksheet can look at the item numbers on sheet one and deliver to sheet 2 only the inventory from that row?
