Help my screen is black

Hello,

Hi i have this sony vaio laptop for like 2-5 years. Aperently the screen is black and it says its having trouble loading so i put restart. Its not working its still a black screen. I did taking the battery out and putting it in and pressing shift f8, control alt delete, and it just shows me a eneternet explorer page and a black screen. My parents and i tried everything. HELP
