Internet light is off

I'm using bsnl wifi connection....my laptop and mobile detects the WiFi and connects but internet is not working..internet light is off in modem...I hve tried everything...I rebooted it...reset it...but still internet light is off...the mistake what I made is I re-setup the modem again with another name without knowing from thn on internet is off...I used the installation CD of the modem I did the setup process again bt nt properly....please help me out...please
