My MSN.COM Email is Gone There is Just an Outlook Program

Does anyone know how I can get all my old MSN.COM email? Microsoft have nobody available to answer. I was forwarding an msn.com email to my gmail and wondered why some I my email wasn't coming through. As it turns out, Microsoft apparently downed hotmail and msn.com mail. I hope I didn't lose all my email on their servers. There was close to 20 years.
