Automatically populating master excel sheet from other files

I am fairly new to Excel, especially when it comes to macros. I will be having a lot of files saved in a particular folder that contain inspections, all of which following a precise template (i.e. a bunch of rows with questions followed by y/n answers).

Is there a way I can automatically pull out information and tally up data in a master excel sheet? Specifically, can I, say, have the master sheet tell me how many of the files in that specified location on the computer had the value "No" in a particular space?
